Eleven years of them, and still climbing — the shop asks for one at the chair, not by text three days later.

Nearly nine in ten come back to the same chair. Nothing tells you more about a barbershop than that.

The chairs

Pick your barber, not just a shop.

Six of the 8 chairs are named below; the other two stay open for walk-ins. Everybody here can do everything on the menu — the specialties just tell you who is going to enjoy your appointment as much as you do.

No preference? Leave it on first available in the builder above and you get whoever is free when you arrive — which on a weekday morning is usually immediately.

Seven days to say it's not right.

Hair settles. If it grows in uneven, or it looked right in the mirror and wrong the next morning, come back inside a week and the barber who cut it puts it right. No charge, no manager, no note on your account.

  • Walked in at 4pm on a Saturday expecting to be turned away and was in a chair in eleven minutes. Dre asked what I did for work before he asked what I wanted, which is why the cut actually suited me.

    Bryan M.

    Chair 1 · 3 years

  • My son is four and does not sit still for anything. Jules cut around him singing and it was done before he noticed. We have been back every five weeks since.

    Nadia P.

    Kids' cut · 2 years

  • I have a cowlick that every barber in this town has fought with. Mikey looked at it for about four seconds and cut around it. First time in years I have not had to fix my own hair at home.

    Eliott A.

    Scissor cut · 18 months

  • Booked the hot towel shave as a one-off before a wedding and now it is a monthly thing. Tavi does not rush it and you can tell that is deliberate.

    Daniel R.

    Hot towel · 1 year

  • Prices are on the wall and on the website and they are the same prices. Sounds like a low bar. It is not, around here.

    Kevin O.

The Move Cut · 4 years

  • Line-up on a Tuesday lunch break, twenty minutes door to door, and they remembered how I wear it from six weeks ago. That is the whole review.

    Marc D.

    Line-up · 5 years

Both get you the same price and the same barber. Booking just means you choose the hour instead of taking the one that is open.

Before you come in

The questions we get at the counter.

Do I need an appointment?

No. Walk-ins have been welcome since 2015 and always will be — eight chairs is enough that somebody is nearly always free. Booking ahead just means you pick the barber and the hour instead of taking what is open.

How long will I wait as a walk-in?

Weekday mornings, usually not at all. Saturday between noon and four is the busiest stretch of the week and can run twenty to thirty minutes. If you would rather not gamble on it, send a booking and we will hold the chair.

How much is a cut and a beard?

$48 with a barber, $53 with a master barber — that is The Move Cut at $30 plus a beard trim at $18. Every combination is priced the same way and the builder at the top of this page adds it up for you before you commit to anything.

¿Se habla español?

Sí. Four of the barbers here are bilingual, including the owner. Ask for Dre, Tavi, Rome or Sam and the whole appointment happens in Spanish if that is easier — walk in and say so, nobody needs warning.

Do you cut kids?

Every day. Jules takes most of them and keeps a booster board for the small ones. First haircuts get a certificate and a curl in an envelope, which parents keep for longer than the kids do.

What if I don't like the cut?

Say so in the chair if you can — that is the easiest fix and nobody minds. If it settles wrong over the next few days, come back inside a week and your barber puts it right free.

How do I pay, and do you take tips on card?

Card, tap, cash or Zelle, and yes — tips go on the same card at the chair. Nobody has to find an ATM on the way out.

Where do I park?

Free lot behind the building, entrance off the side street. Do not use the spaces marked for the unit next door, they do tow.

Hold a chair

Four boxes and you're booked.

Send this and you get a text back with a time, usually inside the hour and always the same day. Prefer to talk to somebody? Dre picks up on (407) 555-0182.

  • No deposit, and no card to hold the slot.
  • Running late? Text the same number — we hold it fifteen minutes.
  • Or skip all of this and walk in. Eight chairs, seven days.

No deposit, no card, no marketing texts. Just a time.
